Although home delivery became an acceptable practice when drug stores starting sending out prescriptions by bike, and dairy companies employed drivers to deliver milk bottles direct to customers doorsteps, it was used to its greatest effect when Domino's Pizza started providing it as an additional service during the 1960's. Home delivery has become part of everyday life since then with a number of different players in the fast food industry using it to their advantage. If someone isn't able to pick up their order in person they can elect to pay for it either by cash, credit or debit card, when it arrives at their residence, It's such a convenience that regardless of whether you prefer Chinese food, or a rare delicacy from a high end gourmet restaurant, it's a win-win situation for everyone concerned.
